| Gene Description | KARS1, lysyl-tRNA synthetase 1, encodes a class II aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase that catalyzes the formation of lysyl-transfer RNA for protein synthesis (PMID: 7576245), and plays a role in the activation of the proinflammatory response (PMID: 15851690, PMID: 30275047) and mast cell signaling (PMID: 14975237). Increased KARS1 expression has been identified in gastric carcinoma (PMID: 24558064) and colorectal cancer (PMID: 32075312). | ||||||||||||
