| Gene Description | KCNJ5, potassium inwardly rectifying channel subfamily J member 5, is a member of the G protein-gated Kir channels family (PMID: 20086079) and encodes a subunit of the cardiac potassium (K+) channel, IKACh (PMID: 7877685), which is involved in cardiac repolarization (PMID: 24692356) and regulation of heart rate (PMID: 10544173). KCNJ5 mutations have been identified in aldosterone-producing adenomas (PMID: 28747387, PMID: 30753137). | ||||||||||||
