| Gene Description | LMO2, LIM domain only 2, encodes a transcriptional regulator that acts as a bridge molecule to mediate the formation of transcriptional complexes (PMID: 20346173, PMID: 32713935), and plays a role in erythroid differentiation (PMID: 17964543, PMID: 24041784) and cell-cycle progression and DNA replication (PMID: 26764384). LMO2 deletion has been observed in Wilms’ tumor (PMID: 31304537), overexpression of Lmo2 has been identified in T-lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 35322192) and prostate cancer (PMID: 17167821) while decreased expression has been observed in colorectal cancer and breast cancer (PMID: 27779255). | ||||||||||||
