| Gene Description | NRF1, nuclear respiratory factor 1, is a transcription factor that regulates expression of genes involved in mitochondrial biogenesis and functions in cell-cycle progression (PMID: 30486409, PMID: 29149604) and cellular homeostasis (PMID: 30267745). Overexpression of Nrf1 has been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 30486409) and an NRF1-BRAF fusion has been reported in pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma (PMID: 27624885). | ||||||||||||
