Gene Description CDK3, cyclin-dependent kinase 3, interacts with cyclin C (CCNC) to phosphorylate Rb1 during transition of the cell-cycle from G0-G1 phase to G1-S phase (PMID: 15084261). Overexpression of Cdk3 in glioblastoma has been reported to enhance cell proliferation through activation of Atf1 (PMID: 18794154), but has also been demonstrated to suppress breast cancer metastasis (PMID: 29156693).
