Gene Description CDKN2C, cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor 2C, interacts with CDK6 and CDK4, and inhibits cell growth and proliferation with a correlated dependence on endogenous RB1 (PMID: 19147556). CDKN2C loss has been observed in sporadic medullary thyroid carcinoma patients with decreased survival (PMID: 27610696, PMID: 31648931) and decreased expression has been observed in acute promyelocytic leukemia (PMID: 27888400).
