| Gene Description | KLF2, Kruppel like factor 2, is a transcription factor and putative tumor suppressor which regulates proliferation, differentiation, and function of a number of cell types involved in development, erythropoiesis, angiogenesis, adipogenesis, inflammation, and immunity (PMID: 12426306, PMID: 15947087, PMID: 16617118, PMID: 21892211, PMID: 29125549). Decreased KLF2 expression, often due to epigenetic silencing, has been observed in several cancers including, pancreatic (PMID: 26449825), gastric (PMID: 27246976), lung (PMID: 27501756), and breast (PMID: 31378902), and KLF2 mutations have been identified in splenic marginal zone lymphoma (PMID: 25428260, PMID: 28522570). | ||||||||||
