Gene Symbol MAD2L2
Synonyms FANCV | MAD2B | POLZ2 | REV7
Gene Description MAD2L2, mitotic arrest deficient 2 like 2, is a regulatory protein involved in DNA replication, interacting with translesion DNA synthesis polymerases (PMID: 33962851, PMID: 23287467), is a component of the shieldin complex and plays a role in DNA repair (PMID: 36075897), and is involved in mitotic regulation, preventing early activation of anaphase (PMID: 33962851, PMID: 24100295). Overexpression of Mad2l2 has been identified in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 38371007), including ovarian cancer (PMID: 38167649), lung cancer (PMID: 28899455), and breast cancer (PMID: 27712588).
