Gene Description SLC12A7, solute carrier family 12 member 7, is a potassium-chloride cotransporter that plays a role in the movement of salt across the transmembrane (PMID: 21733850). Amplification and/or overexpression of SLC12A7 has been observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (PMID: 26454676, PMID: 29884238, PMID: 31034883) and a fusion with BRAF has been identified in a cutaneous melanoma spitzoid tumor (PMID: 26314551).
