Synonyms hPlk2 | hSNK | SNK
Gene Description PLK2, polo like kinase 2, is a member of the Polo-like kinase family of serine-threonine kinases that is a target of Tp53, and plays a role in DNA damage response, centriole duplication, and cell division (PMID: 30104712, PMID: 27423313, PMID: 19305416). Overexpression of Plk2 (PMID: 27423313) and expression loss (PMID: 29448085) has been observed in colorectal cancer, and PLK2 promoter methylation has been demonstrated in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 21340720).
