Gene Description KIF2C, kinesin family member 2C, is a microtubule-dependent motor protein with microtubule depolymerizing activity (PMID: 12620232), which plays a role in spindle assembly (PMID: 15064354), chromosome movement and aggregation (PMID: 15843429, PMID: 18843200), and DNA damage response (PMID: 31951198). KIF2C mutations have been associated with colorectal cancer (PMID: 23564489).
