Gene Description BTN3A1, butyrophilin subfamily 3 member A1, encodes a member of the butyrophilin family, which plays a role in the regulation of T cells, specifically gammadelta T cells, thereby, facilitating immune response and control of immune homeostasis (PMID: 25637025, PMID: 29670629). BTN3A1 overexpression has been observed in ovarian cancer (PMID: 32820120), pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PMID: 30906655), and expression of BTN3A1 has been identified in colorectal cancer (PMID: 28405500).
