Gene Description KAT7, lysine acetyltransferase 7, is a MYST family histone acetyltransferase that regulates acetylation of histone 3 lysine 14 (PMID: 31767635), and also acts as a transcriptional coactivator, which interacts with Cdt1 to promote rereplication (PMID: 18832067). KAT7 is overexpressed in ovarian, breast, bladder, stomach/esophageal and testicular carcinomas (PMID: 19393168), suppressed in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 26072331), and fusions have been identified in chronic myelomonocytic leukemias (PMID: 30944097).
