| Gene Description | PSIP1, PC4 and SRSF1 interacting protein 1, encodes a chromatin-binding protein that produces a long isoform (PMID: 22773103), which plays a role in homologous recombination and double strand DNA break repair (PMID: 22773103, PMID: 34541330), activation of stress-related and pro-survival signaling (PMID: 11350077, PMID: 22275515), and viral entry and infection (PMID: 18092005, PMID: 17639082, PMID: 16959972), and a short isoform (PMID: 9885563), which binds to splicing factors, playing a role in alternate splicing (PMID: 22615581). Increased expression of PSIP1 has been identified in several tumor types (PMID: 22276150), including cervical cancer (PMID: 29953789) and prostate cancer (PMID: 15389814). | ||||||||||
