Synonyms ACF1 | hACF1 | WALp1 | WCRF180
Gene Description BAZ1A, bromodomain adjacent to zinc finger domain 1A, is the accessory subunit of an ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex involved in chromatin assembly (PMID: 10385622), nucleosome remodeling (PMID: 20033040), DNA replication (PMID: 12434153), senescence (PMID: 31085244), and DNA double-strand break repair (PMID: 21172662). BAZ1A mutations have been identified in gynaecologic carcinosarcomas (PMID: 25233892), and upregulation of Baz1a has been observed in various tumor types (PMID: 34736517), including colorectal cancer (PMID: 39112459), while BAZ1A deletion has been reported in papillary renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 22483639).
