| Gene Description | KLF17, Kruppel like factor 17, is a member of the Sp/KLF family of transcription factors (PMID: 16460907) that plays an inhibitory role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition and metastasis (PMID: 19801974, PMID: 26662959), and is involved in embryogenesis (PMID: 26487783). Decreased KLF17 expression has been identified in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 23325444), colorectal (PMID: 26956859), lung (PMID: 22240024), gastric (PMID: 24947617), thyroid (PMID: 25109837), esophageal (PMID: 26617836), and breast cancer (PMID: 19801974), fusions with FUS and EWSR1 have been identified in myoepithelial tumors (PMID: 25706482). | ||||||||||
