| Gene Description | CCN2, cellular communication network factor 2, encodes for a matricellular protein that is induced by growth factors and plays a role in cell adhesion, aggregation, and migration in a number of cell types (PMID: 25120383, PMID: 15371538, PMID: 18789696). CCN2 overexpression has been associated with a poor prognosis in a variety of tumor types, including chondosarcoma, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, and breast cancer (PMID: 30158025). | ||||||||||||
