Gene Description | CTNNA2, catenin alpha 2, encodes a protein that forms a link between cadherin receptors and actin filaments and regulates cell adhesion, differentiation, and cytoskeletal organization, and controls neuron growth and migration (PMID: 25673211, PMID: 30013181). CTNNA2 mutations have been observed in gastric (PMID: 24816253), pancreatic (PMID: 28679692), and laryngeal (PMID: 24100690) cancers, and decreased CTNNA2 expression has been identified in neuroblastoma (PMID: 31489113) and esophageal cancer (PMID: 30526004). | ||||||||||
