Gene Description SPICE1, spindle and centriole associated protein 1, plays a role in maintaining spindle architecture and is involved in duplication and elongation of the mitotic centrioles through interactions with CEP120 and CPAP (PMID: 20736305, PMID: 23810536). An FGFR2-SPICE1 fusion has been identified in cholangiocarcinoma (PMID: 33218975).
