| Gene Description | SPRED1, sprouty related EVH1 domain containing 1, encodes a protein that negatively regulates RAS-MAPK signaling (PMID: 11493923, PMID: 17691106) and VEGFR signaling (PMID: 17438136), and plays a role in cell proliferation and differentiation during cortical development (PMID: 20047999) and lymphangiogenesis (PMID: 17438136). Decreased expression and mutations in SPRED1 have been identified in acute myeloblastic leukemia (PMID: 19643996, PMID: 24469042) and deletions in SPRED1 have been identified in melanoma (PMID: 33306107), including mucosal melanoma (PMID: 30385465). | ||||||||||
