| Gene Description | DDB2, damage specific DNA binding protein 2, is involved in DNA damage recognition and nucleotide excision repair through a protein complex with DDB1 and CUL4A (PMID: 19109893) and regulates transcription of genes involved in a variety of cellular processes including cell cycle progression and protein degradation (PMID: 31635251, PMID: 26205499) and regulation of reactive oxygen species and senescence (PMID: 23109835). Overexpression of DDB2 has been identified in colorectal cancer (PMID: 30054844) and ESR1 (ER)-positive breast cancer (PMID: 18431487) and decreased expression has been identified in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 36568213) and ovarian cancer (PMID: 24574518). | ||||||||||
