Gene Description

DHX15, DEAH-box helicase 15, encodes an RNA helicase, which plays a key role in mRNA splicing and ribosome biogenesis, and has been demonstrated to indirectly activate Nf-kappaB signaling in response to viral RNA (PMID: 25692149) and bind to Cmtr1 to inhibit methyltransferase activity (PMID: 30079402). DHX15 overexpression has been identified in acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 29163777) and reduced DHX15 expression has been identified in glioma (PMID: 28829764).
