Synonyms DHOdehase | POADS | URA1
Gene Description DHODH, dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (quinone), is a mitochondrial enzyme that reversibly catalyzes the oxidation of dihydroorotate to orotate, and plays an important role in de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis (PMID: 28666740, PMID: 6105839). Activation of DHODH may play a role in tumorigenesis (PMID: 29925003, PMID: 30449682, PMID: 32151633).
