Gene Description DNMT3B, DNA methyltransferase 3 beta, is a de novo DNA methyltransferase involved in establishing methylation state during development (PMID: 24822169). Overexpression of Dnmt3b has been reported in several tumor types and is associated with hypermethylation in tumor pathogenesis (PMID: 24822169), and both amplification and overexpression have been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 32058953).
