Gene Description ENO1, enolase 1, encodes a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 2-phosphoglycerate to phosphoenolpyruvate (PMID: 11497239, PMID: 29767008), and plays a role in cellular stress response (PMID: 7499243, PMID: 29767008) and functions as an autoantigen in the context of disease (PMID: 17289554, PMID: 16277695). Increased expression of ENO1 has been identified in several tumor types (PMID: 21261815), including non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 17506794), pancreatic cancer (PMID: 29483925), and glioma (PMID: 24650096).
