Gene Symbol EPHA7
Synonyms EHK-3 | EHK3 | EK11 | HEK11
Gene Description EPHA7, EPH receptor A7, encodes a receptor, which upon interaction with cell surface bound ephrin ligands, reduces Akt signaling, increases apoptotic signaling, and plays a role in cell-cell repulsion and adhesion (PMID: 24003208, PMID: 15928710, PMID: 29022918). EPHA7 mutations and deletions have been observed in multiple tumor types (PMID: 23676193), including mutations lung cancer (PMID: 22941188, PMID: 18948947), and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 21798893), and deletions in follicular lymphoma (PMID: 22036564).
