Gene Description EREG, epiregulin, is an EGF-like secreted peptide ligand of epidermal growth factor receptor that is involved in cell growth regulation (PMID: 10681561). Elevated Ereg expression has been identified in gastric and colorectal cancers (PMID: 28399526, PMID: 27344184) and may be associated with poor prognosis in gastric cancer (PMID: 30738695) and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 32929368).
