| Gene Description | ESRRA, estrogen related receptor alpha, encodes for a constitutively active transcription factor that is a member of the NR3B family, binding to coregulatory proteins and playing a role in energy metabolism (PMID: 18174917) and autophagy (PMID: 28841353). ESRRA overexpression has been associated with a worse prognosis in ovarian and breast cancer patients (PMID: 26542058) and the fusion, ESRRA-TEX40, has been identified in serous ovarian carcinoma (PMID: 21949640). | ||||||||||
