Gene Description FANCG, FA complementation group G, is a member of the Fanconi anemia core complex, which plays a role in DNA repair (PMID: 27145721, PMID: 21118969), and is required for nuclear localization of the FA core complex (PMID: 32002546). Germline FANCG mutations are associated with Fanconi anemia, which involves predisposition to various cancers (PMID: 25237197, PMID: 28024295, PMID: 30031030).
