Gene Description FEN1, flap structure-specific endonuclease 1, belongs to the Rad2 structure-specific nuclease family (PMID: 20929870) and plays a role in DNA replication, DNA repair, telomere maintenance, and genomic stability (PMID: 28187440, PMID: 32719125). Overexpression of Fen1 may be a marker of genomic instability and poor prognosis in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PMID: 29735403) and NSCLC (PMID: 29037854).
