Gene Description ANKRD26, ankyrin repeat domain 26, encodes a protein found within the inner part of the cell membrane that plays a role in pathway signaling, in particular the MAPK/ERK pathway, and is required for appropriate platelet formation and adipogenesis (PMID: 29545013, PMID: 21669876, PMID: 24430186). ANKRD26 mutations that result in truncation of the N-terminus or impact the promoter region have been identified in myeloid malignancies (PMID: 24030261, PMID: 28100250).
