| Gene Description | TRAK1, trafficking kinesin protein 1, is a component of the mitochondrial surface motor/adaptor complex that binds to and activates Kinesin-1 (PMID: 15644324, PMID: 32561740), regulating mitochondrial trafficking (PMID: 23732472) and fusion (PMID: 28924745). Increased Trak1 expression has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 21573901), TRAK1 mutations have been identified in EBV-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PMID: 30106962), and a TRAK1-RAF1 fusion has been identified in melanoma (PMID: 35138907) and pediatric low-grade gliomas (PMID: 37399073). | ||||||||||
