Gene Description | KLRK1, killer cell lectin like receptor K1, encodes a transmembrane protein that upon ligand binding activates NK cells and T lymphocytes (PMID: 15894612, PMID: 16380817, PMID: 12150888), and plays a role in immune surveillance (PMID: 24615398), adaptive and innate immune responses (PMID: 14523385, PMID: 20536570), and immune cell development (PMID: 21898152, PMID: 30224819). Decreased expression of KLRK1 on NK cells has been identified in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 25286418), gastric cancer (PMID: 21626292), and colorectal cancer (PMID: 22200673). | ||||||||||
