| Gene Description | SHANK2, SH3 and multiple ankyrin repeat domains 2, is a scaffold protein involved in regulation of excitatory synapse density (PMID: 27903723) and plays a role in Hippo signaling and cell transformation (PMID: 32661924). A SHANK2-FGFR1 fusion has been identified in intestinal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 34689508), decreased expression of Shank2 has been observed in renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 36231770) and neuroblastoma (PMID: 32796005), and increased expression has been identified in glioma (PMID: 39397895). | ||||||||||||
