Synonyms cN-II | GMP | NT5B | PNT5 | SPG45 | SPG65
Gene Description NT5C2, 5'-nucleotidase, cytosolic II, functions in 5' dephosphorylation of nucleotides including inosine monophosphate (IMP), guanosine monophosphate (GMP), and xanthine monophosphate (XMP), which are then exported from the cell, serving to regulate cellular purine pools (PMID: 29990496, PMID: 31358663, PMID: 30910786). NT5C2 activating mutations are associated with resistance to thiopurine chemotherapy, and are frequent in relapsed acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 29990496, PMID: 31358663, PMID: 30910786).
