| Gene Description | ACIN1, apoptotic chromatin condensation inducer 1, is an RNA-binding protein and auxiliary component of the exon junction complex (PMID: 27365209) that plays an essential role in apoptotic chromatin condensation (PMID: 10490026), and is involved in regulation of pre-mRNA splicing (PMID: 31070279, PMID: 27365209), gene expression (PMID: 18250153), and cell cycle progression (PMID: 27365209). An ACIN1-NUTM1 fusion has been identified in infant acute lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 31515871, PMID: 34211097) and ACIN1 hypermethylation has been observed in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 17409846). | ||||||||||||
