Gene Description KDM2A, lysine demethylase 2A, is a histone demethylase responsible for maintaining centromere integrity, influencing histone modification, and regulating chromatin remodeling to activate or repress gene transcription (PMID: 19001877, PMID: 30059280). Overexpression, amplification, and Kdm1a function have been associated with proliferation of lung cancer cells (PMID: 24482232), breast cancer progression (PMID: 26207617), and inhibition of Tet2 in TNBC (PMID: 28785073).
