Gene Description PDS5B, PDS5 cohesin associated factor B, is a member of the cohesin complex, which plays a key role in centromere and sister chromatid cohesion, and regulates chromosome segregation, homologous recombination, and differentiation of stem cells (PMID: 15855230, PMID: 20383194, PMID: 24141881, PMID: 24854081, PMID: 27924011). Mutations in PDS5B and loss of Pds5b expression have been demonstrated in gastric and colorectal cancer with microsatellite instability (PMID: 23850494).
