Gene Description ACSL6, acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 6, is one of five enzymes (PMID: 31344914) that catalyze the formation of acyl-CoA from fatty acids (PMID: 20429931). An ETV6-ACSL6 fusion has been identified in myeloid leukemia, polycythemia vera, and chronic eosinophilic leukemia (PMID: 11861295, PMID: 27458550, PMID: 27746819, PMID: 16572202), and overexpression of Acsl6 has been observed in colorectal cancer, while decreased expression has been reported in acute myelogenous leukemia (PMID: 31344914).
