Gene Description DICER1, endoribonuclease Dicer, plays a role in synthesis of micro-RNA's and in cell proliferation (PMID: 26033159). Somatic loss of function mutations in Dicer1 have been linked to a variety of cancers (PMID: 25176334) including, endometrial (PMID: 26033159), pleuropulmonary blastoma (PPB), cystic nephroma (CN), and Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor (SLCT) (PMID: 27906793).
