Gene Description

PATZ1, POZ/BTB and AT hook containing zinc finger 1, encodes a transcription factor that can act as either an activator or repressor and is linked to P53 regulation (PMID: 24336083) and may regulate the development of regulatory T-cells (PMID: 31875552). Overexpression of Patz1 has been associated with a number of cancer types (PMID: 18401526, PMID: 18241078), including pediatric glioma (PMID: 31614588) and an EWSR1-PATZ1 fusion has been identified in Ewing sarcoma (PMID: 10949935), glioneuronal tumor (PMID: 29679497), gangliogliomas (PMID: 26810070), and round cell sarcoma (PMID: 32134119, PMID: 31189996).

The web-based, subscription version, CKB BOOST™, includes more than 2000 cancer-related genes and is designed to interrogate the knowledgebase for specific data attributes while enabling a robust browse-like feature when the desired content is unknown.

Downloadable data from CKB is available using the FLEX version. CKB FLEX delivers CKB content as a flat file or JSON, enabling CKB data integration.
