| Gene Description | PRKD2, protein kinase D2, encodes a serine threonine kinase (PMID: 11062248) that regulates diverse cellular and physiological processes (PMID: 21357900, PMID: 11978539), including angiogenesis and endothelial cell proliferation (PMID: 19001381), cell motility (PMID: 22734003), platelet activation and thrombus formation (PMID: 21527521), immune response (PMID: 21173164, PMID: 31980486), and constitutive secretion at the trans-Golgi network (PMID: 31727638, PMID: 26507660). Mutations in PRKD2 have been identified in angiolipoma (PMID: 28139834), PRKD2 fusions have been identified in salivary cancer (PMID: 37595638), and increased expression of PRKD2 has been identified in glioblastoma (PMID: 21727210). | ||||||||||
