| Gene Description | ASPM, assembly factor for spindle microtubules, encodes a mitotic spindle protein (PMID: 15972725) that is necessary for microtubule organization at the spindle poles to ensure mitotic progression (PMID: 16123590, PMID: 21044324, PMID: 16798874), and plays a role in neurogenesis through the regulation of Wnt signaling (PMID: 21937711). Increased expression of ASPM has been observed in several tumor types (PMID: 37384617), including bladder cancer (PMID: 30675249) and prostate cancer (PMID: 28213802). | ||||||||||
