Gene Description LSM14A, LSM14A mRNA processing body assembly factor, is an mRNA processing body assembly factor that belongs to the Rap55 protein family of conserved mRNA-translation controlling proteins (PMID: 18723115) and plays a role in antiviral response (PMID: 27183626, PMID: 28666650). LSM14A fusions with BRAF have been observed in spitzoid melanomas (PMID: 24445538) and a LSM14A fusion with RET has been reported in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 32216946).
