Gene Description

ZBTB20, zinc finger and BTB domain containing 20, encodes a transcriptional repressor of the zinc finger family, that plays a role in hepatic developmental gene expression (PMID: 18669658), neural (PMID: 19955470) and neocortical development (PMID: 27000654, PMID: 20308569). Increased ZBTB20 expression has been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 21702992), non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 25311537), gastric cancer (PMID: 31556767), and a fusion with JAK2 has been observed in B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia (PMID: 32238402).
