| Gene Description | TINF2, TERF1 interacting nuclear factor 2, is a shelterin complex subunit involved in control of telomere length (PMID: 33258446, PMID: 26230315) and telomere end protection (PMID: 29160297), and plays a role in glucose metabolism (PMID: 22885005). Germline TINF2 mutations have been identified in various tumor types including papillary thyroid carcinoma, melanoma, and breast carcinoma (PMID: 31928178, PMID: 33258446, PMID: 35590014) and a splice variant of TINF2 has been observed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 28575699). | ||||||||||||
