Gene Description GATM, glycine amidinotransferase, catalyzes the formation of the creatine precursor, guanidinoacetic acid (PMID: 9218780). GATM fusions have been identified in a variety of cancer types including, a GATM-BRAF fusion (PMID: 25266736) and a GATM-RAF1 fusion (PMID: 32358589) in pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma, and a BC039389-GATM fusion in renal cancer (PMID: 25888189).
