Gene Description AFF4, AF4/FMR2 family member 4, is a scaffold protein that is part of the super elongation complex (PMID: 31147444, PMID: 26007649), which functions in transcriptional regulation (PMID: 22895430, PMID: 26007649). AFF4-KMT2A (MLL) fusions have been identified in pediatric acute leukemia (PMID: 28701730), and overexpression of AFF4 has been demonstrated in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 29741610), and melanoma (PMID: 33417923).
