Gene Description GPC3, glypican 3, is a oncofetal heparan sulfate, cell surface glycoprotein that plays a role in cell growth and differentiation (PMID: 30352677, PMID: 31510063). Overexpression of Gpc3 has been identified in hepatocellular carcinoma and is associated with poor prognosis (PMID: 29901640, PMID: 28621802, PMID: 29369198).
