Gene Description GNAI1, G protein subunit alpha i1, is a member of the G(alpha)i family which is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation (PMID: 23691483). Overexpression of Gnai1 has been associated with decreased survival in ovarian cancer (PMID: 29693178) and a GNAI1-BRAF fusion has been identified in pediatric low-grade glioma (PMID: 29156677) and pilocytic astrocytoma (PMID: 23817572).
